TEAM HISTORY
Team History (01/08/08)

The team began as small sided team Seaham Mariners and played in the Russell Foster Tyne and Wear mini soccer league.
It later formed links with the Northern league club Seaham Red Star and changed names.
It was coached at that time by John Aitkin.
For the 06/07 season John expanded the team to 11 a side and played in the Russell Foster premier division at under 11's.
For various reasons a number of players left the club, the club finished the season 4th from bottom of the premier division and were relegated to Division 1. Just before the end of the season John handed coaching duties over to Neil Wilson who was the coach of Seaham Town Community FC,a 7 a side team.
For the 07/08 season the team saw a major turnover of players with several long serving players moving on and just as many new player joining the Star.
We had a great season and Red Star were promoted back in the premier division, just missing out on the top spot by goal difference.
The players, coach and parents are all looking forward the challenge of premier division football for the 08/09 season .
