Seaham's first home game of the season will now be against North Shields on Saturday 14th August in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round. A win against the Tyne and Wear outfit will set up an away day on 28th August against the winners of Newcastle Benfield and Hall Road Rangers.
In the Vase we get underway on 4th September again at home and against the pheonix from the ashes in Yorkshire, Scarborough Athletic. A win will ensure another home tie on 18th September with the winners of Crook Town v Team Northumbria being the visitors with the winners of that one at home to Bridlington on 2nd October.
How big a say will the first two very tough games have on the coming campaign?
The opening month of the season is normally a trial and error time anyway so I'm not too worried
I think we'll win them both so I'm looking forward to them
They could potentially hamper the season before we even play at home
We have to play everyone twice anyway so they should make no difference at all
Its much too early to say
